When descending a steep off-road incline, DSR can automatically regulate the vehicle's speed without the driver depressing the accelerator or brake pedal. The system can be activated at speeds under 20 mph, and is preset to maintain a downhill crawl at a fixed speed between 1 and 11 mph, by applying the brakes automatically. The speed can be adjusted via the cruise control stalk, and the driver can override the system by operating the accelerator or brakes.
