Come and see us
We look forward to welcoming you on Northern Boulevard.
Sales is open Sunday afternoons. On Saturday the service lane in Flushing opens at 8 a.m.
Usually yes, and we will confirm it before you set out. Send us the model, the trim and the interior you have in mind.
The model and the trim come first.
The interior narrows the choice fastest.
New, certified pre-owned or pre-owned, as you prefer.
We can locate one elsewhere and bring it here for you.
Your Mercedes-Benz will be ready when you arrive.
“I called last Thursday to find out if a 2021 vehicle I wanted was in stock & luckily it was.” K Floyd (K Alise), 5-star Google review
Will it fit where I park?
We will match a model to your space on the lot. Send us the length and we will work from that.
The length of your parking space comes first.
A garage or the street.
The room beside the door.
Whether you park it or somebody else does.
In Queens the parking space narrows the choice first.
Do I need 4MATIC on my street?
It turns on where the car sleeps and how early you leave, more than on the borough.
Tell us whether the car sleeps in a garage or on the street.
Tell us how early you leave, and whether your street is cleared by then.
We will show you which cars on the lot have it and what it adds to the price.
If the weather turns, drive one on your own block.
All-wheel drive is about traction on a slippery start, and a winter morning on an uncleared side street is the case for it. Tell us your block and we will say whether it suits you.
Can I be helped in my own language?
Yes. Our team assists customers in English, Spanish, Korean and Mandarin, and several of our sales consultants speak other languages too.
Tell us the language when you book, and we will say who is here that day.
Family members are welcome to join you for the paperwork.
We walk through the paperwork line by line.
Every document comes in a form you can take home and read.
One customer wrote that Peter is 100% bilingual in Korean, which is key in our community.
“For customers who prefer consultations in Korean or English, I highly recommend Peter Kim, as he communicates fluently in both languages.” youngsik bang, 5-star Google review
What do I bring?
Your license, proof of insurance, both keys and the title. Send us the day and the paperwork will be ready.
Your license and proof of insurance.
Both sets of keys for your current vehicle.
The title, or the payoff figure if a loan remains.
Any approval your bank has already granted.
Both keys add to the figure we can offer for your current vehicle.
“They handled all the paperwork efficiently and made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way.” Irina Musheyeva, 5-star Google review
Will I have the total in writing?
Yes. The total, in writing, before you sign, with every fee inside it.
One figure with every fee inside it.
What is covered, and from which date it begins.
Which added products stay optional.
How we look after you once your Mercedes-Benz is home.
Customers write that the price online was the price they paid.
“They have great cars, no nonsense fees, no pressure.” Steven M, 5-star Google review
Two models, chosen around your week.
Tell us where it will park, who rides with you and how far you drive in a week, and we will have two ready.
“Outstanding is the only word to use for this dealership. Peter Kim was one of the most helpful, honest and genuine salesman I have ever dealt with. He helped me figure out the perfect car for myself and gave me no pressure at all.” Sal Tardi, 5-star Google review
Buying in your own language
“Peter was super helpful. Especially when it came to helping my parents understand all the new features & answering all their questions. Peter is extremely respectful & also 100% bilingual (Korean) which is key in successfully communicating with many folks in our community.” JANE BAE, 5-star Google review
The price online was the price
“Everything posted online about the 2024 GLS450 I bought from Helms Bros. Was true. They didn’t try to change the price or add a bunch of “dealer fees” Kathleen was awesome and really made the process easy” Craig, 5-star Google review
What is on the lot right now?
What you need
Ready to see in Bayside
Something small enough for street parking and a tight garage
What does a Mercedes-Benz buyer in Bayside need to know?
1. Where are the Bayside showroom and the Flushing service shop?

Buy your vehicle in Bayside. Bring it for service in Flushing. The two buildings are a short drive apart. The split has been part of how this store runs for years.
If you are booking work, the Flushing address is the one to put in your phone.
The Flushing shop has convenient access to the LIRR Broadway stop, which is the practical answer for anyone dropping a car off before work and carrying on into the city.
Parts closes earlier than service on weekdays, so confirm which building to pick up from when you order the part and aim to arrive before 5 p.m.
2. The same Bayside dealership since 1934
Year
What happened
Why it matters to you
1934
Frank and Charlie Helms open in Bayside as a Studebaker-Packard dealership
The name on the building is the name of the two brothers who started it here.
1957
Studebaker-Packard takes the Mercedes-Benz distribution rights and Helms Bros. becomes one of the first Mercedes-Benz dealers on Long Island
We have been selling and servicing this one brand for close to seven decades.
1977
Douglas Callahan and his father buy the store from Frank and Charlie
Ownership has stayed in the Callahan family since, which is why people here have worked for us for decades.
Frank and Charlie Helms founded the business in Bayside in 1934, selling Studebaker and Packard cars. The Mercedes-Benz franchise arrived in 1957, when Studebaker-Packard picked up the distribution rights.
Douglas Callahan and his father bought the dealership from the Helms brothers in 1977, and the family has owned it ever since. After that many years on the same corner, we have handled most of what a car deal can involve.
That history has a practical value to a buyer. The people who inspect a trade here have seen how Queens cars age, and the shop in Flushing has been working on Mercedes-Benz of every vintage the whole time.
3. What does Queens driving do to a car?
Where you drive or park
What it asks of your Mercedes-Benz
What we recommend or check
Street parking on a Bayside or Whitestone side street
Door dings, curbed wheels and bumper scuffs
A shorter body, 360-degree cameras, wheel and tire protection
A tight co-op or private garage
Mirrors and door swing decide the fit
Your bay and door measurements, matched to a model
In traffic on Northern Boulevard and Bell Boulevard
Short trips that do not fully warm the engine, and heavy braking
A plug-in hybrid; battery and brakes checked on pre-owned
The LIE, the Grand Central and the Cross Island in winter
Road salt underneath, potholes after each freeze and thaw
Underbody, wheels and suspension checked on trades and pre-owned
Weekend runs east or over the Throgs Neck
Long highway miles at speed
Tires and alignment, as walk-in Express Service in Flushing
A Mercedes-Benz that suits a Nassau County driveway can be a different choice for a block where you park wherever you find room. For street parking we often show a smaller body with 360-degree cameras.
Winter is the other thing. Salt on the LIE and the Cross Island gets underneath a car, and the pothole season that follows a hard freeze is hard on wheels and suspension. Both of those show up in what we check on a pre-owned car and in what we recommend once you own it.
If most of your miles are short hops around Bayside and Flushing, tell us. Short trips are where a plug-in hybrid does its best work, so it changes what we put in front of you.
4. Which Mercedes-Benz fits the way you drive?
The way you drive
The models that fit
Why they fit
First Mercedes-Benz, street parking, mostly city miles
CLA, GLA
The smallest sedan, and the easiest SUV to park
Family of four, school run and the LIE
GLC, GLB
The GLC for the family; the GLB adds an available third row
Three rows in use every day
GLS, GLE
The GLS seats six or seven; the GLE third row is optional
Commuting, or you are driven
E-Class Sedan, S-Class Sedan, C-Class Sedan
The E-Class for rear-seat room, the S-Class as flagship, the C-Class to begin
You want the shape more than the back seat
CLE Coupe, CLE Cabriolet
The Coupe trades rear-seat access for its roofline; the Cabriolet seats four
Almost every conversation we have starts with size. Two people who both want a Mercedes-Benz SUV can end up in a GLA and a GLS, and the deciding factor is usually the garage and how often the third row is carrying anyone.
We will have two of them ready side by side. Sitting in a GLC and then a GLE answers the question in person, and both are on the lot in Bayside.
If a model is not on the lot in the color or spec you want, we can look at what is coming in or place a factory order. Ordering suits a buyer with a particular build in mind; if you need a car this month, we will look at what is on the lot or already on its way.
5. New, certified pre-owned or pre-owned, which route fits you?
Route
Suits you when
What comes with it
New
You want a specific build and the current technology
The full new vehicle warranty, and every option your choice
Certified pre-owned
You want a Mercedes-Benz that is already built
Factory backing, on a car returned to us
Pre-owned, not certified
You want an older or higher-mileage car
Coverage by car, so the service file and VIN recall check matter
Our pre-owned inventory sometimes includes cars that are not Mercedes-Benz, because we take trades from every driveway in Queens and Nassau. Our inventory marks each car as certified pre-owned or pre-owned, because the two carry different backing.
The best pre-owned buys we sell are the ones with a full service file and a clean recall check by VIN. We run the history on anything we retail, and we will show you what we found.
On an older car you plan to keep for years, condition and records are worth more than trim level, and a well-kept car from one level down the range is often the one to own.
6. What does certified pre-owned cover?
Part of the program
The terms
What it means for you
Eligibility
Six years old or newer, under 75,000 miles, serviced on schedule, with a CARFAX report
A standard set by Mercedes-Benz USA
Inspection
A 165 or more point inspection on combustion models
Electric models have their own inspection points
Base warranty
One year, unlimited miles, plus any remaining 4-year/50,000-mile new vehicle warranty
It begins when the new vehicle warranty ends
Extended coverage
One or two more years after the base term, with no mileage cap
Available to buy when the base year ends
Exchange
Another model within seven days or 500 miles, whichever comes first
For when it does not suit your garage or your commute
Trip interruption
Lodging for up to three days if you break down more than 100 miles from home
For a run to the Cape or up to Boston
AMG and V-12 models
Certified pricing does not include them
We confirm the terms on the car you choose
Certified pre-owned is a factory program with published rules. A car either meets the age, mileage and service-history standard or it falls outside it, and no dealer can certify one that does not.
The seven-day exchange window is the safety net. If a certified GLE turns out to be too wide for your garage in Douglaston, you can exchange it, which a private sale rules out.
Ask which of the two inspections applies to the car in front of you.
7. Going electric or plug-in when you park on the street
Where you park
How your plug-in hybrid charges
What to plan for
Driveway or private garage in Bayside, Douglaston or Whitestone
At home, overnight
A 240-volt outlet by an electrician; co-op or HOA agreement where shared
Street parking, no home outlet
On gasoline between charges
Electric for short Queens trips, the engine for a run out east
Garage at work or a spot in Manhattan
At work
The charger type at your garage sets how often it runs on electric
The plug-in hybrids on our lot include the AMG E 53 Hybrid Sedan and the AMG GLE 53e, and our technicians are trained on high-voltage Mercedes-Benz systems, so the shop that services your vehicle knows it as well as the people who sold it.
In this borough the question is overnight charging. In your own driveway, it charges while you sleep. On the street, the engine takes over between charges and public chargers stay out of your routine.
A short hop to Bell Boulevard and back is the trip a plug-in hybrid does on electric alone.
8. The total, in writing, before you sign
We start from the car and the way you drive.
Our secure application online gives you the rate and term you qualify for before you visit, and our finance team works with a range of lenders to find the right one for you.
The total comes in writing before you sign: vehicle price, fees, New York sales tax and registration, in one figure.
9. What is your trade-in worth?
Where you stand
What it means
What you get
You own it outright
The appraisal is the whole figure
An offer to buy it, with nothing to buy from us
You owe less than it is worth
The difference goes toward your next Mercedes-Benz
An exact figure, from your payoff quote
You owe more than it is worth
The difference, shown in writing
The options for carrying it, GAP coverage included
You are returning a Mercedes-Benz lease
A different process from a trade
A return scheduled ahead, at a set time
Start with the online valuation tool for an estimate, then bring the car in for a physical appraisal. A Queens car that has taken a winter of potholes on its wheels appraises differently from a clean one, and that is not visible through a web form.
We give you the figure for your current vehicle and the price of your new Mercedes-Benz as two separate figures, so you can see what each side is worth.
If you owe more than the car is worth, tell us early and we will build it into the numbers.
GAP coverage is there for that situation; it covers the difference between what your insurer pays and what you still owe.
10. Should you lease or finance based on your driving?
What matters to you
Usually points to
What it gives you
Low miles around Queens, a new Mercedes-Benz every few years
Lease
A mileage allowance set to your real year
High miles, or you keep cars past the warranty
Finance
No mileage limit, however far you drive
The newest driver aids at all times
Lease
A new Mercedes-Benz at the end of each term
Keeping it for years
Finance
Yours outright at the end, to keep as long as you like
Leasing gives you a car under warranty for the whole term and a new one at the end of it. Financing builds equity and leaves you with no mileage restriction.
The mileage question decides it for many Queens drivers. Somebody commuting on the LIE to Nassau County every day and running out east on weekends is usually better served by financing.
Whichever route you take, we quote the term, the mileage allowance and the total together, so two offers compare on the same basis.
11. How we look after your Mercedes-Benz after delivery
What your Mercedes-Benz needs
How often
How it fits your day
Service A or Service B
About every 10,000 miles or once a year, alternating
In Flushing; Service A is on the Express Service list
New York State inspection
Every 12 months
Express Service; emissions once it is two model years old
Tires and wheels after pothole season
As needed, usually late winter
Walk in for a flat repair or new tires, no appointment
Wipers, bulbs and small items
As needed
Express Service, an hour or less for a single service
New York adds its own annual inspection, which we can do at the same visit.
Express Service is designed for the Saturday morning jobs, and Saturday service hours run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A shuttle and Mercedes-Benz loaners are available with a scheduled service appointment, no matter where you bought the car. If you commute into the city, the Flushing shop is close to the LIRR Broadway stop, so dropping off before work is realistic.
The technicians are factory trained and use Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment and Genuine Mercedes-Benz parts. On a car with driver aids and high-voltage systems, that equipment is the difference between fixing a fault and chasing it.
12. Open Sunday afternoons for sales
What to bring
What it is for
To make the day easy
Valid driver's license
The test drive and the paperwork
Anyone else who will drive brings theirs too
Proof of current auto insurance
Required before you drive away
Your agent can email it to us on delivery day
Your method of payment or down payment
Accepted methods confirmed when you agree the terms
Arranged ahead of delivery day
Payoff quote and title or registration for a trade
An exact trade figure
If financing, add proof of income and residence
Walk in during sales hours and we will see you without an appointment. Schedule a time and we will have the model you want out front and ready.
We are open Sunday afternoons for sales. Service and parts in Flushing are open weekdays and Saturday morning.
Our team assists customers in English, Spanish, Korean and Mandarin, and sales consultants here also speak Chinese, Hebrew, Greek, Russian, Bulgarian and German. In this part of Queens that is how the conversation gets done.
What happens after you buy a Mercedes-Benzat Helms Bros.?
What people mention
In their words
An advisor who explains the work before it starts
“The diagnosis was shared with us in video and the technicians clearly explained everything with in the video.” Marco Ma, 5-star Google review
Finding a service center after a move to Queens
“I have been getting my vehicle serviced at Helms ever since I moved to Queens NYC.” Suraj Chandra, 5-star Google review
Waiting while the work is done
“The place is clean and has snacks and coffee.” Jaimie Nakayama, 5-star Google review
How do you want to buy it?
Buy
Keep it as long as you like, with no mileage limit.
Finance
One monthly figure over a term you choose, with the rate, the term and the total in writing before you sign.
Lease
Drive a new Mercedes-Benz on a set term and mileage, then return it, keep it or lease the next one.
Trade in
Your current vehicle's figure in writing, as its own figure beside the price of the new one.
Your remaining questions, answered
Financing
Can I get pre-approved before I come to Bayside?
Yes. You can start a secure credit application online through our own form and get a response before you come in.
Can I use financing from my own bank?
Yes. Bring the approval and we will work alongside it, and we will quote our lenders as well so you can see both.
How much should I put down?
Whatever suits you; we show you how each figure changes the rate, the term and the total.
How should I compare two offers?
On the out-the-door price, the rate and the number of months, all in writing.
What forms of payment do you take for a deposit or down payment?
We confirm the payment methods we accept, and any processing costs, when you agree the terms and before delivery day.
Do you offer GAP coverage?
Ask our finance office. GAP pays the difference between what your insurer pays and what you still owe if the car is stolen or totaled.
Trade-in
Will you buy my car if I do not buy one from you?
Yes. We buy vehicles outright, and you are not required to buy a car from us to sell us yours. Start with the online trade valuation tool for an estimate, then bring the vehicle in for a physical appraisal.
How accurate is the online trade estimate?
It is a starting point. Curbed wheels from street parking, pothole damage and service history all move the number, and none of that is visible through a web form. The figure that counts comes after we have seen the car.
Can I trade a vehicle that still has a loan on it?
Yes. Bring the payoff quote from your lender so the arithmetic is exact. If your vehicle is worth more than the payoff, the difference goes toward your next one.
What if I owe more than my car is worth?
We show the difference in writing and build it into the numbers, and GAP coverage can cover it if the car is totaled or stolen.
Are the trade and the new Mercedes-Benz priced separately?
Yes. We value them separately, so you can see what each side is worth.
What should I bring for an appraisal?
The registration or title, both keys, the service records and the payoff quote if there is a loan. Complete records add to the figure on a Queens car with a few winters behind it.
Buying new
Do I need an appointment to test drive?
No appointment is required and walk-ins are welcome during sales hours. Schedule a time, and we will have a specific model pulled up and ready.
Can you order a Mercedes-Benz that is not in your inventory?
Yes. If the configuration you want is not on our lot, we can look at cars already on their way to us or place a factory order. Ordering suits a buyer with a particular build in mind; if you need a car this month, we will look at what is on the lot or already on its way.
Can I do the process online?
Most of it, yes. You can pre-qualify, value a trade and agree terms remotely, then finalize the paperwork and take delivery at our Bayside showroom.
Which model should I look at first?
Start with where the car will park and how many people ride in it. That usually narrows it to two models, and driving those two back to back settles it faster than reading specifications.
Do you sell AMG models?
Yes, AMG versions appear across the range. The new inventory page shows the AMG models on the lot.
What areas do you serve?
We serve drivers throughout Queens, Nassau County and Long Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx and nearby Westchester and southern Connecticut.
Pre-owned and certified
What makes a Mercedes-Benz certified pre-owned?
The standard is six years old or newer, under 75,000 miles, serviced on schedule and with a CARFAX vehicle history report. Certified cars with combustion engines go through a 165 or more point inspection, and electric cars have their own inspection points.
How long is the certified warranty?
The base limited warranty runs one year with unlimited miles, on top of any remainder of the original 4-year/50,000-mile new vehicle warranty. That is factory coverage, and warranty repairs are handled at our service department.
Can I extend certified coverage?
Yes. When the one-year base term runs out, the extended limited warranty program lets you buy an extra one or two years of coverage regardless of miles.
What if the certified car turns out not to suit me?
You can exchange it for another model within the first seven days or 500 miles, whichever comes first. That window is there in case the car turns out to be wider than your garage or a different fit for your week.
Are all Mercedes-Benz models eligible for certification?
The program covers the range apart from Mercedes-Benz Guard vehicles, and certified pricing does not include AMG and V-12 models. We confirm the program terms on the specific car you are looking at.
Which pre-owned Mercedes-Benz models are the best buys?
The ones with a complete service file and a clean recall check by VIN. We pull the history on cars we retail and show you what it says.
On an older car, condition and records are worth more than a higher trim level, and the title history and service file are the first things we read on anything we retail.
Do you sell pre-owned cars that are not Mercedes-Benz?
Our pre-owned inventory sometimes includes other makes, because we take trades from every kind of driveway in Queens and Nassau. Ask which cars carry certified backing and which are sold as pre-owned.
Service and parts
Where do I bring my car for service?
Service and parts are handled at our dedicated facility at 171-10 Station Road, Flushing, NY 11358, not at the Bayside showroom. Put that address in your phone before your first appointment.
Do you service cars bought somewhere else?
Yes. We service any Mercedes-Benz regardless of where it was purchased, including warranty repairs, recall work and scheduled maintenance.
How often does my car need Service A or Service B?
Most Mercedes-Benz models are due for scheduled maintenance about every 10,000 miles or once a year, alternating between Service A and Service B. Your vehicle's own maintenance system will tell you which one is next.
What is Express Service?
Walk-in service for routine work, quoted at an hour or less for a single service. It covers Service A, New York State safety and emissions inspections, bulb and wiper replacement, flat tire repair and tire replacement.
Do you do New York State inspections?
Yes. Vehicles registered in New York must be inspected every 12 months, and both the safety inspection and the emissions inspection are on our Express Service list.
Can I get a loaner car?
Complimentary shuttle service and Mercedes-Benz loaners are available with a scheduled service appointment, regardless of where you purchased your vehicle.
Can I see what the technician found?
Yes. You can watch your vehicle on the lift and talk directly with your technician, and the shop can send videos or photos of recommended repairs to your phone.
Do you use Genuine Mercedes-Benz parts?
Yes. Our parts department stocks Genuine Mercedes-Benz Parts and Mercedes-Benz accessories, engineered and tested for your specific model. The technicians are factory trained and use Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment.
Do you handle dents and collision work?
Yes. Alongside maintenance and repair the Flushing facility offers dent removal, collision repair, detailing and a full line of parts and accessories. Street parking in Queens keeps that side of the shop busy.
What are your parts hours?
Parts is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., closed Sunday. It closes earlier than service on weekdays, so time a parts pickup around that.
Electric
Do you sell plug-in hybrid Mercedes-Benz models?
Yes. The plug-in hybrids on our lot include the AMG E 53 Hybrid Sedan and the AMG GLE 53e, and our technicians are trained on high-voltage Mercedes-Benz systems.
Does an EV make sense if I park on the street?
If you park on the street overnight with no charger at home, a plug-in hybrid is the fit. You get electric running for short trips around Bayside and Flushing without depending on a public charger overnight.
What do I need to charge at home?
A 240-volt circuit installed by an electrician, and permission from your co-op or homeowners association if the parking is shared. Your electrician will quote the installation.
Is a certified electric Mercedes-Benz inspected differently?
Yes. The 165 or more point inspection applies to certified vehicles with combustion engines, and different inspection points apply for electric vehicles. Ask which inspection was done on the car you are considering.
About the dealership
How long has Helms Bros. been in Bayside?
Since 1934, when Frank and Charlie Helms opened here as a Studebaker-Packard dealership. The store became one of the first Mercedes-Benz dealerships on Long Island in 1957.
Who owns Helms Bros.?
The Callahan family. Douglas Callahan and his father bought the dealership from Frank and Charlie Helms in 1977, and it has been in the family since.
Why are sales and service in two different places?
Helms Bros. runs a split facility. The Bayside showroom handles new and pre-owned sales, and a separate building in Flushing specializes in servicing Mercedes-Benz of all ages, with 37 service bays and factory-trained technicians in each.
What languages does your staff speak?
Our team assists customers in English, Spanish, Korean and Mandarin. Sales consultants here also speak Chinese, Hebrew, Greek, Russian, Bulgarian and German, which matters in this part of Queens.
Visiting
What are your sales hours?
Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
Are you open on Sunday?
Sales is open Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Service and parts in Flushing are closed Sunday, so schedule service for a weekday or Saturday morning.
What are your service hours?
Monday through Wednesday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Service is closed Sunday.
Can I reach you without driving?
The Flushing service facility has convenient access to the LIRR Broadway stop, which makes an early drop-off before work workable. Ask about the complimentary shuttle when you book a scheduled appointment.
Who do I call?
Each department has its own line, and the current numbers are listed by department on our contact page. Service and parts calls are answered at the Flushing facility, not the showroom.
What should I bring on the day?
A valid driver's license, proof of current auto insurance and your method of payment or down payment. Add proof of income and proof of residence if you are financing, and the payoff quote if you are trading.
People also ask
Which Mercedes model is the best to buy?
The best one is the one that fits your parking space and your passenger count.
In Queens the GLC is the model we show families first, the GLA and CLA suit street parking, and the E-Class is the pick when rear-seat room matters.
Come and drive two of them back to back in Bayside before you decide.
Do I need 4MATIC in Queens?
4MATIC is Mercedes-Benz all-wheel drive. It is standard on some models and optional on others, so the first thing we check is whether the car you are looking at has it.
Whether it is worth having turns on where the car sleeps and how early you leave. A garage and a plowed avenue ask less of a car than a side street still white at seven.
Tell us your block and we will show you which cars on the lot have it, what it adds to the price, and say whether it suits you.
Which Mercedes is the best buy?
Certified pre-owned. You get a car six years old or newer with under 75,000 miles, a 165 or more point inspection on combustion models, a one-year unlimited-mileage warranty and any remaining 4-year/50,000-mile factory coverage.
Does Mercedes haggle on price?
We give you one figure: the total in writing, which is the vehicle price plus fees plus New York tax and registration, with your current vehicle valued separately.
What is the best month to buy a Mercedes?
Manufacturer programs change monthly and tend to be strongest at the end of a quarter, and outgoing model years get support once the replacement arrives. The best time is when the Mercedes-Benz you want is on the lot.
What is the best year to buy a Mercedes?
For a pre-owned purchase, look at cars that still qualify for certification, which means six years old or newer with under 75,000 miles and serviced on schedule. Within that window the individual car's service file and recall status matter far more than the model year printed on the title.
What is the 20% rule when buying a car?
A rule of thumb about putting 20 percent down. The down payment is your call, and we show you how each figure changes the rate, the term and the total.
Is it cheaper to buy a car in NY or NJ?
For a New York resident, buying across the river does not avoid New York sales tax.
When you register the vehicle in New York State you must pay the sales tax, prove it was paid, or prove the registration is exempt, and there is a credit process for tax paid in another state.
The total in writing is the figure to compare.
Where is the best place to buy a Mercedes?
