Brokers have very little incentive outside of profit. They can pick-up and move or change their business name tomorrow, if they have one. If your vehicle has an issue and the broker stops answering your calls, what can you do?
Price
Helms Bros offers a variety of incentives, updated monthly based on market conditions and demand. It’s in the dealership’s interest to make sure that you receive every discount for which you qualify. Are you a student who recently graduated, or a member of the U.S. military? Helms Bros offers incentives that the brokers won’t receive, and therefore cannot pass on to you! Plus, you may receive extra discounts based on the brand of vehicle you drive right now, Helms Bros or otherwise… Brokers can’t and don’t offer these price benefits.
Brokers’ prices are based solely on what they paid for the vehicle. If there’s a $2,000 conquest incentive on Mercedes vehicles right now, but the broker bought it last month, you will pay more than necessary.

Helms Bros is subject to three levels of accountability: New York state regulations, Mercedes even stricter rules, and most demanding of all, our expectations of ourselves as a family-owned business in this community. Ask anyone who runs a long-standing, local business… Good enough isn’t good enough. We only sell the best product, hire the best staff, and work with the best banks. Every deal we make will be scrutinized for quality, internally and externally.
Broker
Brokers are only subject to NY state law. They can work with any bank for any reason, with any contact structure they want. Their smaller staff means little-to-no quality control, and they don’t have access to Mercedes Financial Services.
