Where to go, and what your visit covers

Service and parts are at 171-10 Station Road in Flushing, a separate facility off Utopia Parkway, so it comes first.

After that the tables cover which scheduled service you are due, what our Express lane will take without an appointment, and what New York registration adds to your coverage.

The questions below come first.

How does a service visit here run?

Service and parts are on Station Road

171-10 Station Road, Flushing. Service and parts are in their own building, separate from the Bayside showroom.

Both NY inspections, walk in

Safety and emissions are on the Express list. An hour or less for a single service.

New York extends your coverage

Registered here, emission defects are covered for 7 years or 70,000 miles, and plug-in hybrids certified SULEV for up to 15 years or 150,000 miles.

What should you expect when you bring your vehicle in?

Step 1: Service and parts are on Station Road

Service and parts are at 171-10 Station Road in Flushing, in a separate building from the Bayside showroom.

Step 2: Service A or Service B

A is the lighter visit, B adds the cabin filter and may run past an hour, and the VIN tells us which one you are due.

Step 3: Express or a booked appointment

Service A, both state inspections, bulbs, wipers and tires are walk-ins, and everything else runs on an appointment.

Step 4: The loaner, arranged when you book

Loaners and the shuttle are available with a scheduled appointment.

Step 5: What New York registration adds to your coverage

Emission defects covered for 7 years or 70,000 miles here, and longer on plug-in hybrids certified SULEV.

Step 6: You approve the work, and anything deferred is written down

A later visit then starts from the record.

Book the visit

Your VIN, and whether you would like to wait.

The VIN tells us whether you are due an A or a B, and whether your vehicle is in the group New York's longer emissions coverage applies to.

If you would like a loaner or the shuttle, we arrange it when you book. Both are available with a scheduled appointment.

3. Your state inspection, done as a walk-in

The hour applies to one service. An inspection and an oil service together take longer than an hour, so we plan both when you book.

4. What New York registration adds to your warranty

What is coveredWhich Mercedes-BenzYour term in New York
Emission defectsEvery Mercedes-Benz registered in New York7 years or 70,000 miles
Extended emission controlPlug-in hybrids certified SULEV15 years or 150,000 miles
High voltage batteryPlug-in hybrids certified SULEV10 years or 150,000 miles, against a federal 6 years or 62,000

Registered in New York, your Mercedes-Benz carries the longer emissions terms in its warranty booklet: emission defects for 7 years or 70,000 miles, and on a plug-in hybrid certified SULEV, emission control for 15 years or 150,000 miles and the high voltage battery for 10 years or 150,000 miles.

We read the terms for your Mercedes-Benz from its VIN before any emissions work, so a covered repair is handled under the warranty.

5. Warranty or maintenance: which one pays

The workWhich one paysWhat it means for you
A defect on a new Mercedes-BenzThe New Vehicle Limited Warranty48 months or 50,000 miles; some components carry shorter terms
A warranty repairClaimed through an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealershipWe handle it for you here
Normal wear and tearMaintenance, not a warranty claimIncluding anything done as regular maintenance
Brake pads and discsMaintenance, as wear itemsReplaced as they wear
Wheel alignment for road crownMaintenance, as an adjustmentRoad crown is the arch built into a road for drainage
Service A and Service BMaintenance, on scheduleScheduled work, not warranty work

Brake pads and discs are wear items, so their replacement is maintenance, not a warranty claim, and how you drive sets how quickly they wear.

If you are unsure whether a quote is warranty work or maintenance, we will say which one it is, at no charge.

6. What a certified Mercedes still has left

The CPO Limited Warranty12 months, unlimited milesIt begins when the new vehicle warranty ends
The inspection165 or more pointsElectric vehicles have their own inspection
Roadside assistanceIncluded with the coverageA jump start, a tire change, or fuel if you run out

Because the certified year begins when the original warranty ends, two people who bought certified cars on the same day can hold very different amounts of coverage. It comes down to the original in-service date.

Bring the paperwork and the VIN to your first visit and we will tell you which warranty you are currently on and when it changes over.

What else you may be wondering

Where to go

Is service at the same place as the showroom?

Service and parts are at 171-10 Station Road in Flushing, a short drive from the showroom. A phone may route the dealership name to the showroom, so Station Road is the address to use.

What else is at the service facility?

Dent removal, collision repair, detailing and a full line of parts and accessories, alongside maintenance and repair.

Which building do I go to?

Station Road in Flushing for service and parts. We confirm the site for any particular job when you book.

Service A and B

When is Service A due?

At approximately 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first, and then approximately every 20,000 miles or 2 years after that.

What is in Service A?

Mercedes-Benz motor oil replacement, oil filter replacement, fluid level checks and corrections, a tire inflation check and correction, a brake component inspection, and a maintenance counter reset.

When is Service B due?

At approximately 20,000 miles or 1-year after the previous service, and then approximately every 20,000 miles or 2 years after that.

What does Service B add?

The cabin dust and combination filter replacement, on top of everything in Service A.

How long does Service B take?

It may take longer than 60 minutes, so plan for more than an hour.

Is there a mileage schedule for my exact model?

It is set per model. Send us the VIN and we will read what applies to your vehicle.

Express and inspections

Do you do the New York State inspection?

Yes, both. The safety inspection is on our Express list for vehicles one-year-old or newer, and the emissions inspection for vehicles two years old or older, with no appointment needed; for anything else, ask when you book.

Do I need to book Express Service?

Express Service takes no appointment at all.

Is it an hour?

For a single service, yes. Multiple Express Services in one visit will take longer than an hour, so tell us at booking.

What else can Express do?

Service A, bulb replacement, wiper blade replacement, flat tire repair and tire replacement.

What is the 37-point inspection?

It is our own inspection covering the major components of your Mercedes-Benz, included with Express Service.

New York coverage

Does living in New York change my warranty?

Yes. Registered in New York, your Mercedes-Benz carries emission defect coverage of 7 years or 70,000 miles, and a plug-in hybrid certified SULEV carries extended emission control coverage of 15 years or 150,000 miles.

Does that apply to my plug-in hybrid battery?

On a plug-in hybrid certified SULEV and registered in those states, the high voltage battery warranty runs 10 years or 150,000 miles, against the federal 6 years or 62,000 miles. We confirm it from your VIN.

Which states are on the list?

For the plug-in hybrid terms: CA, CO, CT, MA, MD, ME, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OR, RI, VA, VT and WA. New York is one of them.

What is covered

How long is a new Mercedes-Benz covered?

48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, and not all components carry that full term.

Are brake pads covered?

Brake pads are wear items, so replacement due to normal wear is maintenance, not a warranty claim, and how you drive affects how quickly they wear.

Is a wheel alignment covered?

Adjustments for road crown, the arch in a road built for drainage, are a maintenance adjustment outside the warranty.

Certified pre-owned

When does my certified warranty start?

After the original warranty ends. A certified Mercedes-Benz carries the remaining 4-year or 50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty first, and the CPO Limited Warranty of 12 months with unlimited miles begins once that expires.

How many points is the certification inspection?

165 or more, and electric vehicles use a different inspection.

Your visit

When are you open?

Monday to Wednesday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday and Friday until 7:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are closed Sunday.

Can I get a loaner?

A complimentary shuttle and Mercedes-Benz loaners are available with a scheduled appointment. Arrange it when you book.

Can I work while I wait?

The customer lounge has complimentary Wi-Fi and private workstations, along with a children's play area and complimentary refreshments.

People also ask

What is Mercedes Service A and Service B?

The two alternating scheduled services. Service A falls at about 10,000 miles or 1-year and covers oil and filter, fluid checks, tire inflation, a brake inspection and a counter reset. Service B falls about 20,000 miles or a year after the previous service and adds the cabin dust and combination filter.

How long does Mercedes Service B take?

Service B may take longer than 60 minutes. A single Express service is an hour or less, but combining services in one visit takes longer.

How long is the Mercedes-Benz new car warranty?

48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, and not all components or adjustments carry that full 48-month or 50,000-mile term.

When does a Mercedes certified pre-owned warranty start?

After the original one ends. A certified vehicle carries the remaining 4-year or 50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and the CPO Limited Warranty adds 12 months with unlimited miles once that expires.

Does New York have longer Mercedes emissions coverage?

Yes. A Mercedes-Benz registered in New York carries emission defect coverage of 7 years or 70,000 miles, and a plug-in hybrid certified SULEV carries 15 years or 150,000 miles of emission control coverage.

Can a Mercedes dealer do my New York State inspection?

Ours does both in the Express lane with no appointment: the safety inspection is on the list for vehicles a year old or newer, and the emissions inspection for vehicles two years old or older. For anything else, ask when you book.

We asked a lot of questions, and she took every one of them seriously, answering carefully and without any rush. She made sure we fully understood everything and treated us with genuine kindness and respect. It’s rare to meet someone who is both knowledgeable and so willing to take the time to help customers properly. Overall, excellent service. I truly appreciate Wendy’s help and would highly recommend this dealership’s repair team.
